The Ducky One 2 SF gaming keyboard shines with a very minimalistic exterior and a mix of new features and proven design concepts. The usual reliable Cherry MX switches are used and are combined with PBT double-shot keys by Ducky. The feature package is packaged in a slim, black and white, non-numeric keypad case with a very slim and stylish bezel and rounded off with an RGB LED backlight.

This version uses Cherry MX Brown switches. Keyboards with Cherry MX Brown switches are a compromise between a pure gaming keyboard and an ideal typing keyboard. When pressing the keys, you have to overcome a slight resistance, which noticeably reports the contact release. Since you can feel the two switching points that are very close together, you not only write noticeably faster, but you can also trigger multiple clicks in a row with very little travel.

The housing of the Ducky One 2 SF gaming keyboard is two-tone: while the top is black, the frame and underside of the keyboard are white. The keycaps are made of polybutylene terephthalate, or PBT for short, are manufactured using the double-shot process and are significantly more durable than keys made with ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene).

The highlight of the Ducky One 2 SF gaming keyboard is without a doubt the professional RGB LED lighting, with which practically endless design possibilities can be realized. It offers a total of twelve different lighting modes, one of which is more unusual than the other. The special highlight of the Ducky keyboards lies in the completely software-free configuration of the RGB lighting. All settings and changes can be implemented using various key combinations.

The very popular mechanical Cherry MX switches are almost "unbreakable" and, depending on the switch used, are optimally suited for the individual gamer types. Thanks to USB-N-Key-Rollover, any number of keys can be pressed simultaneously without "ghosting" or other delays occurring. Helpful here is the 1,000 Hz report rate of the USB port, which sends data from the keyboard to the PC every millisecond. There is a USB Type-C socket on the keyboard, which is where the detachable cable plugs in, which has the typical Type-A connector on the other end. The two rubberized feet on the back, which are height-adjustable in three stages, are also comfortable.

The Ducky One 2 SF's powerful ARM-M3 microcontroller controls and saves the selected LED effects. In addition, it optimizes the communication between the keyboard and the PC while enabling other functions, including the use of macros and profile storage. In addition to multimedia functions, Ducky Macro V2.0 also allows you to control the mouse pointer using the keyboard.

In contrast to the even smaller One 2 Mini (60%), this keyboard layout only lacks the number block, the insert key and the block with the print, number lock and pause keys. The entire row of F-keys is also missing. The arrow keys are included along with the delete key and the scroll keys. All the missing keys have been integrated into the remaining keys and can be activated with the Fn key. This TKL-Mini SF or 65% layout results in an extremely portable and lightweight keyboard.
