Powered by their AMD Geode GX 366 MHZ processors these stateless, diskless devices boot-up in seconds, provide secure user login to corporate networks and, with no moving parts, are capable of delivering a long service life-span of between 5-7 years. Wyse S class thin computers are optimized for Microsoft Terminal Server, Citrix XenApp, Citrix XenDesktop, and VMware View environments. The Wyse SX0 is a small and (physically) lightweight thin client. It has a single serial port and two USB ports at the front and two USB ports on the rear.

The basic specs for the SX0 are:
Max resolution: 1600 x 1200 16-bit colour
Ports: Network 10/100, Serial, 4 x USB2.0
The unit uses a small external power unit rated at 12V @2.5A. It uses a standard 5.5mm/2.1mm coax plug to connect to the SX0
