BIOSHAPE is a multifunctional device with a high and demonstrated effectiveness, that can perform a
specific massage on cutaneous and sub-cutaneous tissue both on body and face, using different synergic
energies at the same time.
Cutis has not only a protective function on deep structures, strips, muscles, functional and sensory
organs, through a sorted and lobular layer of adipose tissue, but it represents also a tissutal system with
peculiar characteristics that reflect on the balance of the entire organism, in particolar when it suffers
because of decompensations, for example in the partitioning of interstitial fluid and the excretory
function and the cardiac pump or in muscular activity both striated and not or in cutaneous only
pathologies, both elastic, that means degenerative, or cicatricial, that means regenerative, or
inflammatory.
Adipose tissue is composed of globous cells, connected by small dissepiments where run the capillaries,
thin blood vases, surrounded by amorphous fundamental substance and collagen fibers, so that all
together they create a kind of structure called “honeycomb”. When adipose cells increase their volume a
lot, the surrounding tissue is compressed, obstructing blood microcirculation, thus creating an alteration
in nutritive exchanges, with an accumulation of permeabilizing substances and tissue absorption among
the cells . This phenomenon, moreover, prevents the diffusion of the oxygen that gives birth to the cells.
Thus some modifications are created, and these act as irritative spine of connective tissue, that
reacts with a thickening of connective fibers that organize in a concentric shape and involve adipose cells.
First some "micronodules" are formed, then, due to confluence, the "cellulitic macronodules". The
thickened fibrous septa make the surface furrowed, causing irregularities of the skin, with the following
appearance of the so-called mattress or orange-peel skin.
The changes in capillaries dynamics lead to a slowing down of microcirculation, decrease of
venous and lymphatic return and there is a stasis with lower limbs swelling. More precisely, we should
talk about cellulitic desease or edematous-fibro-sclerotic panniculopathy, that means an entity appearing
in genetically predisposed subjects with the contribution of other causes that help their appearance, such
as: hormonal causes, eating habits with overweight, environmental or due to postural problems. Many
aesthetic procedures, whether invasive or not, have been developed to fight against cellulite and fat, but
the chance of remodeling and shaping these zones with barely invasive treatments is a recent acquisition.
The main concept, the one inspiring all mechanical aesthetic instruments, is the modulated
massage going from the surface into deep, reproducing the pressotherapic ductility of human hand. But
human hand lacks of a properly physical function: vacuum aspiration and rhythmic pressure. In fact
human hand can pinch, can lift and extend the skin, but it doesn’t have this pulsing property, that,
combined with the mechanization of two twin rollers, has a positive effect on interstitial liquids
movement.
BIOSHAPE puts together the following energy sources properly combined:
- Bipolar radiofrequency (RF) 1 Mhz
- Infrared light (IR) emitted by 4 soft diode lasers 940 nm
- Vacuum aspiration (VC)
- Motorized rollers (RL)
Herewith in detail the action that the above mentioned energies may produce individually in the
organism:
The Bipolar Radiofrequency 1Mhz energy, emitted through the rollers, performing a heating
effect on sub-cutaneous fat only on the aspirated skin portion, fluidifies the interstitial liquids and then
helps venous-lymphatic drainage, thus increasing effectiveness and safety even in zone treatment,
increasing fat cells metabolism. So, acting deeply in the derma, causes a double effect: from one side the
stretching and contraction of aged and worn collagen fibers, on the other side the production of new
collagen by the stimulated fibroblasts.
The final result is a smoother and more regular aspect of the skin and a general reduction of the
circumference.
The Infrared energy emitted by 4 soft infrared lasers, defocused with a wavelength of 940 nm,
helps skin elasticity and also the production of new collagen, since it’s a very powerful anti-wrinkles and
purifying. There are lots of clinical studies about the effectiveness of the 940nm laser on cellulite
reduction, since this particular wavelength is easily absorbed by lipids. Moreover, infrared rays reduce
cutaneous impedance heating the skin and the combined energy of the radiofrequency, penetrates deeply
into connectival tissues. This allows to avoid the emptying of ipodermic tissue, cause of relaxed and
“pleated” skin and main collateral effect of weight loss or fat treatment. This means a smoother and more
tonic skin, even following a reduction of circumferences, adiposity and cellulite.
The synergic combination of infrared lasers and radiofrequency energy increases oxygen diffusion
at a intercellular level, through subcutaneous tissues heating.
Vacuum + Rotating rollers: the mechanical energy applied through vacuum aspiration and
rotating rollers causes a physical and painless elongation of fibrous tissues. Compared with a manual
massage, the rotating movement of the handpieces on the skin represents a very good contact of active
friction, in particular if rollers movement disperse in a centrifugal direction the movimentation of
interstitial lymphatic liquid attracted by the vacuum-massage. Moreover, the use of rollers, specificly
designed, in the handpieces H1(motorized), H2 (fixed), allows the RF to penetrate up to 2/3 cm. At the
same time, vacuum combined with rollers’ mechanical action, stimulates and extends the connective
tissue, melting subcutaneous fat, like the microcirculation is reactivated; metabolism is accelerated and
subcutaneous fat’s dimensions are reduced with a noticeable silhouette remodeling.
