Unfortunately, we have to part with our Ford Transit, because due to work our long trip has to be canceled, and it is a pity if the car is just standing around.
The vehicle was elaborately and carefully renovated in 2016. It has been thoughtfully insulated, making it suitable for winter conditions and long trips. In 2018, a Planar 44d diesel parking heater with fuel pickup was retrofitted. The finishing was done with solid wood, without cheap and toxic OSB panels, which gave a cozy atmosphere and robustness.
The camper has a new starting and living area battery, which was replaced in the fall of 2022. There are two power outlets and USB plugs in both the living area and driver's compartment. Storage space is provided by two large chests (bench seats) and an easy-to-clean Eurocrate shelving system.
The rear bench seats easily convert into a 140x180 cm bed. Above the bed is a skylight for good ventilation and brightness.
A water tank (2x20 liters, expandable) with submersible pump, sink and faucet (can also be used as an outdoor shower) is available, as well as a gray water tank. Behind the driver's seat there is space for a 25 liter drinking water canister with tap.
Under the sink is a safety gas box according to TÜV standards for a 2.8 kg camping gas bottle. A high quality gas stove with 2 plates and windbreak is also provided. There is a cooking possibility in the car next to the sink as well as in the rear area of the vehicle.
Furthermore, a cool box (Dometic Coolfreeze CDF18 electric compressor cooler/freezer 18 liters) is available in the car and can be easily removed.
All power cables have been carefully and safely routed behind the wooden paneling and provide opportunities for additional connections, such as work lights in the rear.
The interior height in the vehicle is 171 cm, which provides sufficient headroom.
The Ford Transit T300 with an engine capacity of 2.2 liters and a power of 81 kW is a fuel-efficient variant (about 8-9 liters per 100 km at 100 km/h). The vehicle has been completely cavity sealed and the underbody protection has been renewed annually. Currently, all-season winter tires 'mud and snow' are mounted, while the old summer tires have not been used since 2018.
The current "pickerl" (permit) is valid until 10/2023, and the car has been in the shop annually for service and repairs.
Additional accessories such as ramp wedges, thermal front/side window cover for sun and cold protection, adapter for gas bottle filling abroad, hanging organizer, seat cushion, etc. are included if needed.
Nothing will stand in the way of your next trip with this reliable and comfortable camper.
