Theoretical facts, because a solid conductor also has disadvantages: it is hard, so that a slight bending of the cable can already damage the insulation; the ductility is restricted, and each curvature produces a crushing of the outer layers. This is why Sommer Cable has designed the SC-CARBOKAB 225 cable, characterized by a special process of smoothing the conductive surfaces: a very dense carbon layer coats the concentrically braided cores. The conductivity is thus comparable to that of solid wires, but the conductors are highly flexible and have excellent and durable technical characteristics. Because of these qualities, the SC-CARBOKAB 225 cable guarantees an absolutely linear and faithful acoustic reproduction up to a distance of 200 meters. Remarkable is also the shielding with 100% covering (fleece AL + tress Cu), to counter the high density of peripheral electromagnetic perturbations of the studios (effects devices, computers, synthesizers, etc.).
